Athletico were expected to walk the group but find themselves 3rd with 5 points after losing to a struggling Leverkeusen side that just acquired a new manager.
After a lot of complaining by their players near the end of the game, the ref decided to award them a penalty. They proceeded to miss the shot, miss the rebound and then their third attempt richocheted off one of their players and missed the net. Just very funny all around especially since everyone expected them to easily clear the group.
