On a personal level, matress mack is legitimately a jerk with a shit personality. On the other side, he has done a lot for the people of houston for the last couple of decades. He has opened the doors of the location on 45 during pretty much every natural disaster to give people shelter. He acts like he is better than you and above it all in person but he looks out for the people of south houston.

I’ve heard mixed things. A friend of mines dad was coke buddies back in the day with him, nothing but nice things.
I know a few people that worked for him, he pays well and has good benefits but makes you actually work so washes out a lot of people. The people that get it stay there for decades because it’s a lot knowledge decent commission sales job
When I took one of his mattress bets, he personally called me the next day to thank me for shopping. As fellow salescel it made me feel bad how much better of salesmen he is than me.

Ive met him personally twice, and it was 50/50. The first time i was in my early 20s, not dressed well, and looking for a couch in my price range. He gave me a very curt greeting, looked me up and down, then walked away. Not exactly professional but it was fair, i wasnt a big fish that was there to blow 20k for a whole house. The second time, we were dropping off a bunch of canned food for a food drive. He was shmoozing, moving food, really all over the place. He shook my hand, said thanks for coming out and donating and blah blah, seemed like a good guy. As far as the coke buddies thing, i believe it, he's got the vacuum vibe.
