not even unrealistic, screen based entertainment has become so energy efficient. definitively have to charge up a bit beforehand, a larger screen takes at least 30W and for two hours that's like 14 AA batteries? not sure, anyway a phone takes way less, and wind and sun are in the range to deliver enough if there's preperations
Well, recently one of our state tv station's (ARD) website (tagesschau) had a report about the tv that generates energy. We'll just use that one!
"Inventor from Zimbabwe: The TV that generates energy," tagesschau.de, the Internet portal of ARD's news flagship, reported Friday. "The inventor Chikumbutso presents a television that generates energy instead of consuming it. The invention could set a precedent," it promised. "Inventor" Chikumbutso also promised a similarly mysterious energy generation to the reporter from the ARD studio in Johannesburg: "In a way, the TV uses free, renewable and green energy. No emissions, no consumption, no raw materials. It uses the radio waves and converts them." And, "No cable, no extra radiation, no emissions, no raw material consumption. Sounds like part of the solution to the energy crisis."
The female author initially also continued to defend her post with tweets. src
