He also managed to get betting on the UFC banned in multiple US states and Canadian provinces.

A bit of background for anyone new to James Krause. He's a fairly well known mma coach, not the most accomplished but has a couple of big names including interim flyweight champion Brandon Moreno who is currently in the middle of preparing for a title fight. Recently though he has also started a gambling where he gives out betting tips for upcoming fights and this is where the drama starts.

James Krause started selling access to a premium channel where he would give last minute tips on fights including ones where he was coaching and even offering to take over people's accounts for a cut of the winnings. Bookies started noticing big bets all going one direction just before fights with the most notorious example being a fight where the Krause coached fighter lost within the first minute and had clearly been hiding a serious injury. With big money going on both the result and on a finish within 2 rounds.

People started to speculate that Krause, having known about this injury, convinced the fighter to go through with it anyway and told his backers to place bets on a loss as there was no way he could make it to the end of the fight.

This spurred investigations from various gambling commissions across the world and with them starting to suspend all betting on the UFC Krause sealed his fate as a permanent UFC pariah and potentially worse once the investigations are over
