That's quite harsh to reduce his career to being a Diaz hanger on. He was strikeforce champion back when they were a legit competitor to the UFC. He was very boring but has wins over some great fighters, Woodley, Lawler, Henderson, Condit, Mayhem Miller and Maia are all very impressive victories

Totally, beating a journeyman Lawler at MW (actually not even, it was at 180 lb catchweight) is the only impressive win in a resume that has victories over the likes of prime Woodley, prime Maia, and a young Condit. Jake was legit contender in the best era of WW.

He's not that far off generation-wise, the guys he beat were dominant up until like 5 years ago. And honestly, his generation of MWs was probably stronger than the current one we have now, only person to have a better resume than GSP is Jones, and that's cause a lot of the best names Jones beat were already getting old (and the division was always weak).
