Just sent to their fan feedback email. I doubt they’ll care but I wanted to say SOMETHING to them somehow:

My wife and I are longtime Dodgers fans. ALL of my hats must bear the Dodgers logo or I just don’t buy one. All of our Jerseys are Dodgers jerseys, except one Ducks jersey we each have. We’ve been in the stands and screamed good-natured hate at the Giants when you guys play them. In fact, my first game ever was a Dodgers-Giants game.

That’s why this email is so sad to write. The fact that you let voices of hate and derision lead you into excluding a well-known charitable organization of gay men from an event that is meant to celebrate and encourage unity and gay pride, just because they happen to dress in drag, is not only disappointing, it is disgusting.

You are a longtime California institution. California prides itself on diversity and inclusion of all people from all walks of life, and you chose to ignore that. You had the opportunity to stand up in solidarity and send a message against the hate and attacks that the transgender community has been experiencing as of late, particularly in Florida where they stand to be forcibly de-transitioned, and instead you turned your back on people that trusted and believed in you. You stood with the people who seek to oppress those who are different, and claimed to do it in the sense of unity. Unity with who? Bigots? And you chose to do this on your “Pride night” celebration, just to add insult to injury.

You cowtailed to a politician who wasn’t just a republican, a member of a party who has made it their mission as of late to alienate and oppress women, minorities and those in the LGBTQ community, but to one not from your district, not from your state, but from a state on the opposite side of the country. You deferred to his authority in a state that not only has nothing whatsoever to do with what we do here, but who as of late has passed draconian laws subjugating women, and outlawing the medical and psychological care for an entire group of people. A state that has been banning books with any mention of homosexuality or transgenderism. A state that has been altering history books to take out any mention of racism in important stories surrounding the civil rights movement. And you allowed him to reach over here and punish Californians and take away their award, their recognition and their acceptance. You said to them that they matter less than appeasing a group of hateful people, and one hateful governor an entire country away. You told them that the bigots are right, they don’t deserve to be treated as people. Shame on you.

You can do better than this. You can fix this. But until then, we can no longer support you. There’s two other teams in California we can support, and one of them is based in San Francisco, a city known for its support of the LGBTQ community.

I wish they had a long post not reply for emails like that

Complaint letters that are 7 paragraphs definitely get the most attention, since a long letter means it's definitely not a BPD screed

what are the odds this person has been to 3 games max in the past 10 years because "they have social anxiety" and are also simply too poor to afford it

You are a longtime California institution. California prides itself on diversity and inclusion of all people from all walks of life, and you chose to ignore :marseyerasure: that. You had the opportunity to stand up in solidarity and send a message against the hate and attacks that the transgender :marseytrain: community has been experiencing as of late,

The same group :marseymarseyloveorgy: that wasn't given its award :marseyawardretard2: also pissed :marseybeanbigmad: off a lot of Christians around 10 years ago:

Rail against the supposed grief we cause believers and wrap yourself :marseykys: in self-righteous anger :marseyrage: if it makes you feel good- it’s your shtick and in these tough :marseycarpbuff: times I know you need a paycheck. But for the love of every young :marseyzoomercide: LGBTQI kid out there  trying to find a way through this cruel world, please :marseybeanpleading: stop carping on about how events like Hunky Jesus :marseymormon: “empower every religious :marseyjesus2: right :marseyhesright: prejudice about gays.” Bigotry like that is irrational and self- generating. They hate us because we’re GAY, Andrew, period.

Part of your distaste for one act was "depicting the Passion of Jesus :marseyfatherjoseph: as a sado-masochistic act (which is entirely voluntary rather than the brutal :marseywindmill: torture :marseymidsommarchristian: Jesus :marseychristchan: suffered)." I have to say, Andrew, that I always thought :marseymindblown: a large :marseywide: part of the theological point :marseyhesklennyyouknow: of the Passion was that it was freely chosen?

Not enjoyed, certainly, but entered into as a willing :marseywould: sacrifice. Now, surely :marseyaware: these ribald homos are not the first :marseywinner: ones to make the connection between :marseyzeldalinkpast: Christian :marseypastor: martyrdom and S&M.

Today I will isolate our community from its allies because lol :marseyyass: :marseytwirl: straggots! :marseylaughpoundfist:
