World's most boring sport manages to have a fight

Kind of. The entire AL Central is awful this year. The Twins are the only team in the division with a record over .500, and they're 58-54. For reference, the Mariners, who are third in the AL West, are 59-52, and the Yankees, who are fourth in the AL East, are 58-53.

But since someone has to win the division, the 54-57 Guardians (54-56 prior to this game) are still in contention. Mathematically, so are the 44-68 (43-68 prior to this game) White Sox, but that's obviously a lot less likely. So both teams are still playing to win, despite being fricking terrible.

But none of that is really the point. Fights like this are barely a thing in baseball. Most bench-clearing brawls are actually bench-clearing "hold me back, bro"s. Two players squaring up and trying to fight for real happens maybe once a season across the entirety of Major League Baseball.

Plus, the players involved make the whole thing much funnier. Tim Anderson was a great player the past three seasons, but suffered a season-ending injury last August, and has been absolutely terrible this season. José Ramírez, on the other hand, is currently the undisputed best offensive third baseman in MLB. He's on pace to win his fifth Silver Slugger this year. So Anderson picking a fight with Ramírez just to get immediately dropped is top tier comedy.

No idea. If you like one sport Twitter decides you must like every single boring sport in existance.
