It was 90 + 10 that was our bid. We really shouldn't have let this go on so long but we shouldn't pay anywhere near what Liverpool are paying for him. Not sure what would be the plan now though.
And I don't get why everyone seethes at Brighton as a club, their fans are mugging us sure but that's what happens when you raid their club and still end up playing shit, Brighton as a club however hasn't done anything to deserve any scorn over, at least not to us.

Football fans are all insufferable on social media (especially Twitter). But I suppose that's kind of the point. Tribalism over something that's not "important".
Also, I don't think the saga is over yet. Romano have still held off on his "Here we go" and reports are coming out that Chelsea are going back in. It'd still be embarrassing though because the club is going to have to overpay majorly after sitting on their asses over £100M for months. Pretty spicy drama for a player transfer tbh.

The giant bid is probably going to happen this morning. It's a stupid overpay but meh, at least he's worth it quality-wise. Though I'd also be happy to pivot to Florentino Luis if it doesn't work out.
