I think blaming the board is silly.
Who in their right mind would join Chelsea at this point? They're stuck with a shit squad, no european football, unproven (at Chelsea) manager, questionable finances and generally poor prospects to get better anytime soon. They somehow beat United in the "worst place to be as a good player" competition.
