Detroit Lions redditors have multithread meltdown over storm coverage during a meaningless preseason game.

I think any sane person annoyed by it just turned the game off because it's the preseason, but these are diehards. After reading these threads I'm on their side though, just because they're less annoying than the scolds.

I'm a trained storm spotter, so maybe I have a different perspective,

:marseysurejan: but they continue on:

It may save a life. That's more important than a preseason game that is still on.

I get you guys want to watch, and I do too, but I'm happy to sacrifice listening to two announcers I don't care for if it means someone, somewhere, realizes they are in danger. Tornados aren't something to frick around with, even EF0's can do serious harm. Better be safe than sorry... how are we even discussing this? People's lives could be in danger,

Love the purple outfit and how it enhances your boobs, but……….GET OFF MY TV!!!! IT'S FOOTBALL SEASON!

:marseycoomer#3talking:

Some people are illiterate. Probably more than you think. So tickers aren't good enough.

And it is just a game which you watching will not change the outcome of.

But someone finding out there is a tornado might save their life.

Burgers have no idea how fun sports in stadiums can actually be.

They think doing the wave a few times is as good as it gets.

For how expensive tickets are, you'd be down >$500 if you get your family kicked out of a football game

That's why fun shit happens at baseball games with <$25 tickets and on cheap beer nights

NFL games are family friendly, which is cool for families, but it's why the crowds aren't chanting profanities and storming the field. College football is where Americans get rowdy in massive crowds. Euros have absolutely no idea how big college football is.
