Michigan fans cope that other fanbases are doing to them what they did to others for decades

Anyone Else Avoiding The /r/cfb Main Page? It's Just Toxic Right Now

Anything remotely pro-Michigan is being voted down. Anything from a Michigan flair that isn't pure self-flagellation and apologies is being voted down.

/r/cfb has decided that the program is the "Houston Astros" of CFB despite other programs like Clemson or UGA being caught in similarly compromising positions.

I also find it funny that any fan of a top 15 program thinks they are operating 100% clean with no underhandedness going on. Are we supposed to believe the super-cutthroat SEC programs aren't breaking rules to get an edge? Give me a break.

What is the controversy here even? Switch your signs or get a headset

Headset is likely coming next year. Even high schools have it but somehow it's too expensive for MAC schools or something.

The controversy is less about the actual crime and more that the most pompous group of smug buttholes did it. Michigan fans and coaches for decades have blamed their lack of cheating as the reason for sucking butt

Cope, they are going to get a couple wrist slap because jim is going to be in the nfl next year.

The true punishment is Michigan is officially in the swamp with the rest of us. Which is the worst punishment for their smug fanbase.

Isn't Michigan really good right now though maybe they were right

I feel like calling more timeouts than you have remaining is actually a species of cheating.

Michigan staffer set up a network of people to go to opponents game and film the sidelines from both sides to steal signs. Its like 22 teams from 5 conferences. He would decipher signs, put them on a google sheet, and print out copies of sign sheets for the team to use during the games. He did this all in his own name with Venmo receipts like an r-slur and there's video evidence of him using OSU signs on their sideline against them. Harbaugh is totally fricked here and my guess is he'll resign after they have to vacate their everything since 2021. Go bucks, M losers can't win without cheating smh.

Why is this even cheating that seems completely reasonable to do

Because the NCAA is pretty r-slurred and refused to adopt to headsets in QBs and linebackers helmets like the NFL and even some high schools.

They banned in person scouting cause big programs could afford to do it while sun belt schools can't. Everyone shares film so until everyone started running no huddle there was no need to scout in person.

Now with no huddle and no headsets, you have to signal plays from the sideline and thus the benefit of filming form the stands.

Like I said the crime itself isn't that bad. Just that Michigan did it in the most r-slurred way possible

Because they know what plays they're going to run and it gives them an unfair advantage while the other team has no idea their signs are stolen beforehand. It's never been allowed to record other teams signs electronically in college. If they allowed players to use headsets it could be avoided but for now it's not. Stupid rules are still rules and what this guy did wasn't just push the envelope a little. This is a really big deal despite Michigan coping especially with Harbaugh on thin ice with the ncaa for recruiting shit.

It seems like he is just doing reasonable things that are against the rules because the NCAA is r-slurred. Regardless of legality, teams should have been expecting this to happen when they started signing plays. Even in shitter high school leagues people stole signs.
