I can't imagine you would prove a causal link here. I feel like a lot of men trying really hard to project masculinity constantly feel like they have to watch sports as a part of it.
lol I've never in my life met anyone who pretended to like sports because it's manly. Loads of guys don't really follow sport and no one cares.
