Everton receive some help moving to the Championship next year

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/67448714

Everton have received an immediate 10-point deduction after being found to have breached the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules.

The punishment is the biggest sporting sanction in the competition's history and leaves Everton 19th in the table on a new total of four points.

Shitters fleece us for £60 million on Richarlison and still couldn't maintain sustainability rules? What a club.

They've made a lot of tragic transfers between 2016-2020. Legit 200m+ of players that are dross and eventually went on a free. Then pandemic fricked their revenue, poor results didn't help much financially, and don't forget paying wages and sacking Rafa, Ancellotti and Lampard.

Frick it, I counted, €250m loss between 16-17 and 20-21 season on players who are no longer there, most left on a free. Half of them barely played. Highlights are:

  • Bolasie - 29m, 1800min played, left on a free after being loaned out a bunch

  • Tosun - 22.5m, 2300min, left on a free after bunch of loans

  • Gbamin - 25m, 210min, left on a free after loans

  • Klaassen - 27m, 250min, left after one season for 13.5m

There's a lot of others who were about for 20-30m, played 1-2 seasons worth of minutes (2000-5000) of mediocre football, and eventually left on a free. Andre Gomes and Ben Godfrey are still on the books, ~50m combined, 1min in PL between them this season, will probably follow the same trajectory. Genuinely terrible squad management.

Decent idea, remember him having some real class moments at Palace

>Gbamin - 25m, 210min, left on a free after loans

Sean Dyche is a based worm eater but they only just made it last year without the 10 point reduction

They actually play well this season tho, like a midtable club. They just got unlucky at the start.

Compared to last season, they finally got DCL fit, and bought a very good backup striker, so they no longer start Maupay or Demarai Gray up top. No Garner or Iwobi on the wing either.

Several players are in great form, Doucoure has been great since Dyche came, McNeil too, Gueye, Mykolenko and Brantwaithe picked it up this season.

And finally, bottom 3 are absolute dross, they're only 3 points off safety.
