This was the Cricket world cup final. Each team gets a single innings consisting of a maximum of 50 overs (an over comprises of six throws by the bowler referred to as balls). Each team has 10 outs (referred to as wickets) and their innings is over when either they lose all 10 outs or when the fifty overs have been bowled whichever comes first. (Interestingly enough, in this game, India lost their last out on the last ball of the fiftieth over). In this match, India scored 240 runs, Australia batted second and chased it down. The reason they give those numbers is to give you a quick indication at a glance as to how clise it was, and those numbers indicate a reasonably comfortable win for Australia - they had plenty of outs and overs left when they reached India's score.

Oh yeah, they started strong, had 120000(?) people in the crowd cheering them on, only for Travis Head to come in and guide the Aussies to victory
