1982 Sócrates squad
The GOATest of all GOAT teams to ever exist
When me and my friends used to train for soccer, we would divide the team up and each player would get a role from the starting XI of that '82 squad. We rotated every day.
Ended up not being an iota of more skilled than the opposite sides but because we knew what ball to play where and where every other player would be if i were in that space, we won every game easily.
Things got to a point where the coach of the Mariners (Youth League team of Maine) came to see us. He asked us who our coach was, but we were playing without any coach. We just had videotapes and YouTube.
I fall in love with football every time i watch that team, goddarn

Yes, captain of the 1982 Brazil squad
I didn't see them playing live either. I was born in 1997/98 lol
I just read a lot of football books and all of them said Cruyff's 1974 teams and Socrates' 1982 teams were two of the most technically proficient teams to ever play. Not only because they were technically brilliant (which they were) but also they were playing on a strategy which was far far ahead of its time. So i used to watch them on YouTube obsessively

Joseph Schooling - First and only Olympic gold winner
Fandi Ahmad - Played for FC Gronigen and scored against Inter Milan, rejected Ajax FC's attempt at signing him because he's a silly BIPOC after all

I think all Asians should get to claim Sonny. If some polish guy started dominating a bunch of Chinese in ping pong all of Europe would celebrate.

I remember being in Italy when Nakata was playing there and the Italian kids calling me Nakata probably in a little 👉😆👈 way but I was secretly happy
