It was literally some of the most fun I've ever had in my life. The 60 second drop before they pull the parachute feels like you're going to die. My brain has never had that much dopamine before. Might go again next weekend if there are any time slots, was that fun. I highly recommend.

I saw a moose one time when hiking in the adirondacks. It was early in the morning and I hadn't seen anyone else on the trail. I heard some shuffling sounds in the woods about 50 ft ahead and to the left of the trail, so I figured someone was over there taking a piss or whatever. I kept walking forward, and that motherlover came crashing through the trees at a ridiculous pace that you would not expect from something that big. Went straight across the trail in front of me and just kept on going. I never saw him again.

I paid for pics and video so total it was around $400 and I tipped the guy $50 bc he was a veteran and I simp for them (def very optional where I went). I think the base fee is like $250? The second time they give u a discount and it's like $200. Think there are also Groupons available for various vendors but I was being impulsive when I booked it and also went on a weekend. Might be cheaper in other places or during the week. Was about 90 min outside of Chicago.

Congrats! I've been three times, all tandems, I need to do a solo jump. The first one my mother showed up to my door on my birthday unannounced and asked if I want to go skydiving. I said heck yeah and we left. She was 62 at the time and had a blast! She paid for a photo/video set as well, and I looked like SHIT in all of them.

Why jump with an instructor?
My favorite thing was that they offered an option of having a parachute with a slit in the back making it partially controllable, so I had tons of fun steering it and then turning against the wind right before landing and landing like a fricking feather!
The less favorite thing was that the instructor apparently miscounted how many people he put at each side of the plane, so he tried to throw me out, then changed his mind and pulled me back (later I realized that it was to not eject me over the forest), and having no experience I started worrying that maybe something went wrong and other guys' parachutes didn't open automatically because of something I had done.
