Difference being, Rover dies at an old age after a lifetime in dog-years of happy memories and experiences.

I don't take a coat hanger to my pregnant dog and then make Facebook posts crying about how I wish I could've met the puppies, but the timing wasn't right.

Rover's not going to remember any of his happy experiences after you gas him. He'll be exactly as dead as my unwanted baby.
