One time, my friend's wife asked me if I thought she's gained weight. I said it ya, it's really obvious. She started crying and shit but she slowly started losing weight after that. It's been a couple of years, and she's not thin by any means, but it looks like she's in the best shape she's been in in years. She started exercising recently, too.

I guess my advice to upgrade your old lady is to have a friend call her fat.
