Nothing, unfortunately. Have to try and find a new game. It's hard though because I'm pretty fussy about who I play with.

Good lord that sounds awful. I'd rather go back to the people who spend the night discussing out of character things while in character.

I like an adversarial storyteller. Someone with an aggressive it's you guys versus me attitude.

Sometimes I play the TripleA version of Axis and Allies. I get addicted and neurodivergently obsessed with learning the meta until it stops being fun. Then I stop playing and eventually forget everything I (re)learned.

Then I play it again after awhile lmao

Axis and Allies always brings back memories to an old school friend. He was absolutely obsessed with the game and we played it like 2-3 times a month. We as his friends. He had other friends who also played with him. Setup was always fun with him. He just placed everything on the board for us. "X has 2 german infantry and 1 tank, Y has 1 german infantry, ..."

His (and thus our) main focus was global, but he had all other editions (like Pacific) as well. But man, we gifted him the 50th Anniversary Edition for his birthday back then. He was so fricking happy with it and memorized starting placement (for different years) within a few months.

Sadly he moved away and we basically lost contact except a yearly update. I still hold he record for War of the Ring between us though (1-0).

Unironically, what's there to learn? If you're playing as Axis just don't invade Russia and you win. If you're playing as Allies just make sure to recruit the most Nazi scientists as you can and you should get a Nuclear victory every time.

Idk what you’re playing but in Global Germany needs to invade Russia to win in practice and I don’t know of any Nazi scientist mechanic

You invade Russia last and only after you've finished the "Final Solution" objective, otherwise you're gonna throw.

>I don’t know of any Nazi scientist mechanic

Exactly, if any of the other players call you out for using Nazi scientists just deny it

Nothing atm.

But considering the topic. Has anyone played Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon? I backed the kickstarter and eventually it delivered, but my bg group fell apart during covid.

It says 1-4 players, but I read it's not fun with many players. Anyone played it and can say something about player numbers? Especially 2 vs 3 players.

Also is it viable for the 3rd player to miss some sessions?
