Haven't played 5e in a while. It's very accessable to new players but gets stale fast for experienced ones. I also don't like how they basically globo-homoed distinct races out of existance because of real world politics. And that fricking overpowered wheelchair and the writers smug attitude about it. I'll try out new systems when I have time to learn a new one or just homebrew 5e even harder.

5e plays like shit and has too many rules. Suffers the same power problems as 3.5/pathfinder but they happen at level 3 because the core books are full of fanfiction.

So did I do to the awesome amount of 3rd party and homebrew material.

We swapped to Pathfinder, but still use old 3.5 stuff as well like spells. Campaign is also set in the Forgotten Realms.

I have to admit I really love archetypes way more than prestige classes.

I'm guessing the examples of reasons you'd stop playing are because of problematic, not any other reason?

Nah, the books apparently got way worse objectively. Everyone is pretty sick of D&D now.

That was my understanding as well, but specifying 'Tasha's' suggests a spell, and I vaguely remember sperging about a spell in the books making a bunch of whiners freak out.

It's still fun but only because it's easy to get a group together. It's fun in spite of most of the new rules

Howdy, my name is Rawhide Kobayashi. I'm a 27 year old Japanese Japamerican (western culture fan for you foreigners). I brand and wrangle cattle on my ranch, and spend my days perfecting the craft and enjoying superior American passtimes. (Barbeque, Rodeo, Fireworks) I train with my branding iron every day, this superior weapon can permanently leave my ranch embled on a cattle's hide because it is white-hot, and is vastly superior to any other method of livestock marking. I earned my branding license two years ago, and I have been getting better every day. I speak English fluently, both Texas and Oklahoma dialect, and I write fluently as well. I know everything about American history and their cowboy code, which I follow 100% When I get my American visa, I am moving to Dallas to work in an oil field to learn more about their magnificent culture. I hope I can become a cattle wrangler for the Double Cross Ranch or an oil rig operator for Exxon-Mobil! I own several cowboy hats, which I wear around town. I want to get used to wearing them before I move to America, so I can fit in easier. I rebel against my elders and seniors and speak English as often as I can, but rarely does anyone manage to respond. Wish me luck in America!
