an addition to my reply to this comment of yours, I do believe that the invalidation from these parental figures may not be from seeing them as a sort of narcissistic appendage of one's self (the paternal or maternal figure)
but instead be from having to deal with such an alteration in their daughter or a mixture of conservative perspectives and radicalization from other outside bodies?

I worry that you look to deep into it, I understand that people close to you acting as such sucks bad. But I feel that others like me should just be able to internalize it better after dealing with it for such a time instead of causing such a fuss.
