Honestly at this point I'm questioning if we should really let cis parents keep custody of trans kids regardless of their support. Cis parents just don't have the empathy or understanding to properly raise a trans child and the abuse, intentional or not is inevitable without the ability to relate to your child at a personal level. If your child is trans and you're not, they're arguably not even your child. There is no similarity in thinking. You are basically a stranger.
