This week my pastor gave a somewhat confusing sermon in his series on Exodus where he talked about the precision with which God executed the plagues and how they showed his command over all the elements (as compared with pagan gods who would only control one thing) but he was SUPPOSED to (at least he said he would last week) tie things into God's loving nature and how they ultimately proceeded from that and he didn't really connect that dot, at least as far as I understood.
But where understanding fails faith sees us through! What did your church talk about this week, and what did you think of it?

Like, hating black people would certainly be a sin.
But recognizing that black people are more prone too committing crime and that as a result they and their neighborhoods need too be policed more strictly, that's not a sin at all.

Lord, I lift up in prayer the two dying loved ones of TabbySupremacy, may You show mercy and kindness to them and give them comfort in their final days, may You ease them into Your kingdom without suffering or pain, may you take from them any pain or suffering they feel, and when they pass may you lift them up to be with You in Your kingdom, renewed and eternal by Your side. And Lord I pray further that if you so choose, may you work an actual miracle and bring TabbySupremacy's friends back from the brink of death and give them more years with him before their ultimate end.
