Watched this yesterday. I respect Redeemed Zoomer's take that we shouldn't abandon the institutions we created and love, but this video sadly shows how quickly it slips from "we want tolerance and diversity of views" to "bake the cake, bigot".
The church I grew up in left PCUSA for ECO, and while it was reported all over the local news that it was because of the gay stuff (though certainly that didn't help), one of their actual non-negotiable points was that the denomination was pushing a minister on them who wouldn't affirm that Jesus is the only way to salvation. That kind of denominational firm handedness can be hard to square with a 'big tent inclusivity' approach to theology.
I get a little miffed at Zoomer when he says my denomination shouldn't exist (Non-denom but specifically, Church of Christ/Christian Churches) because there's no apostolic succession - but most importantly due to our lack of creeds and confessions.
It rings hollow when his denom has people outright denying the divinity of christ.
Yeah, I'm also at a non-denom church at the moment. His recent video decrying non-denom churches made me laugh though because it felt like a fully-generalizable argument for us all to go back to Catholicism. I don't think that was the intention, but I bet a lot of Catholics were feeling smug after watching it!
I think his stance would be that'd he return to the Catholic Church if they fully embraced the principles of the Reformation. I think that's why he's said many times about it being about Reforming the church initially and why he cares about things like apostolic succession.

I probably spent over $400 on this website and generated so much traffic from ops that go million sub youtube accounts but some mod showed their butthole on the Reddit subreddit 6 years ago and because of that they have say in who can be a moderator or not and got mad because I removed comments from someone that was exposing a secret and then kept reinstating it because “haha I'm annoying XD that's my only personality trait”
Also the creator of this website is the biggest spineless user I've ever met. “Nooo I just wanna code I will have a mental breakdown if I have to make a decision”.
