Note how the list is (1) mostly old things that Republicans today also support and (2) conveniently leaves out the actually criticized parts, like the contraception mandate in the Affordable Care Act, or that the Civil Rights Act is used by Democrats to promote racial discrimination.

I'm not gonna read the comments this time because I'm still over the Republicans doing an about face on the right to life, but OP is actually correct on all of their cited points. Catholics created the modern school system and after the industrial revolution clergymen and religious organizations (particularly Protestant in this case, gotta get people reading their Bibles) lobbied the state to universalize them, same with hospitals etc etc.

All Western politics are Christian infighting, when the Dems go back to Margaret Sanger rhetoric about abortion being about genetic purity and killing BIPOCs I'll change my tune on that.
