What

I am predicting they're gonna do what they did with Napoleon and make a fun series into stupidly forced modern American political commentary.

:soyjakanimeglasses:buddy have you ever played a fallout game?

Yes. I've played all of them. No, the Fallout games were not a modern American political commentary - touching on themes isn't the same thing at all. I know how Amazon does things. I don't trust them after Rings of Power Trust me. I'll be right.

Fallout was always woke lol. The series was satirizing consumerism and political extremism

Mocking political extremism is literally the opposite of being woke. Why do they think like this?

Truth be told - never thought about it this way

:#gigachad2talking:

I gotta applaud you, you baited so many people successfully, they still haven't figured it out.

Heh - you get it. I applaud you friend!

:marseyconfused2: What's blud waffling on about

it is literary is a criticism of capitalism and shows what happens when its taken to extremes, seems pretty political to me

If le workers owned le means of production the Great War would have never happened

Then are you aware it's literally made by a bunch of Marxists?!

Everyone point and laugh buddy thought fallout already wasn't a political commentary of a game

:#soyjakfattalking:

Do you also predict the following? Transgender super mutants in season two, wheelchair synths and bisexual radroaches

:#brainletmagatalking:

Time to reveal the game for those who have been scrolling. Fallout, especially the older ones - were a big critique of identity politics, and 'wokeism' in general on both sides of the aisle. There's no reasoning with ghouls but the Vault Dwellers are rich and pompous and also can't be reasoned with. That's why 'War never Changes'. Amazon is going to insert identity politics into this show - 100% - and ruin the entire premise in favor of pushing a political narrative, much like this comment section. The overarching idea is that good people make the world a better place, no matter the ideas they're surrounded with.

:#marseyconfuseddead:

Not caring is an option. Don't let your identity become entirely wrapped around things you dont like. Even if it feels like they're social engineering the brand, ultimately our individual impact is minimal. Choosing not to engage with their product will suffice enough.

I think its funny because of where it originated. It started with black campus groups around 2010 proclaiming that they were "woke" to inequity issues, which was shortly thereafter adopted by leftism as a whole to describe their myriad of pet problems. Several years down the line, that moniker they adopted for themselves turned into a term of mockery because of how absurdly they behave and now they seethe about it.

tldr:

>"We're woke!"

>"lol ur woke"

>"DON'T CALL US WOKE!!!11!"

Heck, Erykah Badu was singing “I stay woke” in a song as early as 2008, so even older than you mention.

When I first heard it in the early 2000s it was more about being into Afrocentric conspiracy theories. “We wuz kings, we built pyramid, we was the real hebrews type shit” more the Farrakhan Nation of Islam type shit. Was big with wu tang fans and the like. You had awoken from the lies of whitey about your glorious past etc
