So is the story about the couple? That's actually pretty intriguing and a lot of interesting things can go from a modern Bonnie and Clyde much like all those Tarantino ripoffs did in the 90s.

Yeah, I think people who are chudding out over the female protagonist are jumping the gun. I think the Bonnie and Clyde angle can be a darn good one if they want a story with a female protagonist. I imagine we might be swapping between the two like in GTA 5.
The social media reels in the trailer gives me hope that there is actual life and soul put in the game. I was afraid of extremely safe and sterile writing and humor. It could still be the case, but it looks decent so far.

I actually like the toning down of the really dumb on the nose satire and family man humor bc it gets in the way of the plots of the games which have a ton of heart at their core. It was always the biggest thing holding them back and RDR2 really exemplified what they could do with a serious plot

I thought GTAIV was fine in that regard, it was GTAV that went full r-slur, trying to spell out the satire so thoroughly that not a single 5yo could miss it.
