Have you played that new one like the Man Who Erased His Name or whatever? I bought it but haven't had time to start yet and I'm wondering if I should first finish 3-6 and that turn-based one, or if it's ok to jump right into it

Yes just finished, it was good and has a good antagonist. The only minuses are the game is shorter compared to other yakuzas games 4 chapters instead of 13 normally and has only 1 playable city but it has a cool casino and cool arena.
If you care about story just watch yakuza 3-5 cutscene on YouTube, the games are very slow and aged bad, yakuza 6 gameplay wise is meh so you can also just watch the videos and then start with man who erased his name and then play the rpg one

If you know the characters already just play the turn based one. I held off on it for a long time but it's honestly probably the best one yet. I loved it so much.
Play the new one after because I think it might ruin parts of 7 which is the much larger and more significant project if you play it first

English voice actors for anime/games usually sound like shit because there is a lot of nepotism in the industry, plus people try to make characters "sound" like their regular voice so that they have more job stability. English dubbed anime is especially bad though, speaking of which Yong Yea also dubbed Pucci from Jojo Part 6.
