Recently been playing the witcher series after getting it from steam sale and I have to say it is the biggest piece of dogshit.
Witcher1
The combat in this game is shockingly basic. It consists of basically just timing mouseclicks and maybe rolling once in a while. Somehow both options are 100% jank and never feel right.
The protagonist is entirely bland. He has nothing interesting to say and I'm almost thankful for that because the voice actor conveys 0 emotion in his monotone blabbering. The writing is also garbage. Early in the game you prepare a potion for an injured companion. When you give her the potion you have a dialog during which she is bedridden in the fetal position and if you pick the right options you frick her directly after. I've played porn games that lock s*x behind more gameplay. At least this was memorable, everything else was cliché and forgettable.
I can't comment on the story because after a "light 5 bonfires like this is some third rate mmo" quest I figured out I had better things to do.
Witcher 2
Belive it or not I was actually excited going into this game. Because the previous game was held back by some amateurish qualities I assumed that this one would have fixed the previous weaknesses and come out much better.
Boy was I wrong.
The combat in this game is seriously the worst I have ever seen. I don't know how CDProjectRed managed to make it worse than the one button rhythm game the previous was. The core weakness is the lack of control. Picture this you are facing a group and want to quickly take out one low health enemy, so you run up and light attack only to jump in the air and do a triple spin leaving yourself open to attack. That's because there is no standard light attack, the game sees your input, throws it out and does whatever the frick it wants to do. And if you were wondering, yes the attack is randomly decided (at least according to a modder).
This system is actually kinda similar to the Assassins' Creed combat system, but with a few key differences. First of all the killing moves in Assasisns' Creed are actually cool and violent and not fruity spinny moves, and secondly AC tends to stop enemies from attacking you while you are locked in these animations in a Hollywood goons waiting their turn kind of way. Anyway the rest of this game is also shit but I don't have anything interesting to say about it.
Witcher 3: did not play
In conclusion it is crazy to me that this is the company the duped people into thinking cyberpunk was going to be a good game on release. Anyways back to forgetting about single player games and play another 1000 hours of warthunder (which is great by the way, don't let some NATOtard tell you otherwise. referral link: https://warthunder.com/en/registration ?r=userinvite_150773279).

The first time I played The Witcher, I made it to Act 4 and then dropped it. The second time, I didn't make it to Act 3.
Very dry game. I never played the other two because I didn't beat the first.
