Eu4 is an infinitely better game than Stellaris. Conquer injun land, then expel all the dirty minorities to it to fight and die to the Redman. Then oppress the shit out of the angry colonial nations with your master race metropol while fricking the dot injuns and potatoe bipocs.
I love EU4 too, but it also got cucked by updates imo. I like a nice British run where I get to both conquer France and colonize the entire new world + africa + asia.
Stellaris lets you designate whole species as undesirables and gives you several options to deal with them. You can deport them, kill them, enslave them, enslave them and then make them husks, or eat them. There's more niche shit that you can do too, like turn them into your species through genetic/robotic engineering. Heck, you have several start options that turn off diplomacy for you because you hate/everyone hates you too much and total war is the only solution. Although, tbh I dislike some of the more recent updates.
Unironically, removing the other unique FTL options improved the game significantly. I thought the removal was lame as frick at first because I was a wormhole enjoyer, but it actually made warfare more interesting and not a fricking infinite game of cat and mouse with fleets.
It's true. They gave jump drives as a tech so that fleets can still warp jump on a cooldown if needed. They also added hyperlane relays which basically makes hyperlane highways so that you can travel across your empire quicker in mid-game. Gateways are useful later game, and there is a megastructure called a quantum catapult that can yeet fleets across the galaxy from the system you build it in (one way only though).
What do you mean? The game is still basically that, it's just slightly less bad because there's fewer times you need to take your fleet on a 7 year journey across the stars every time you need to mobilize a bit.
Making hyperlanes the default way of getting around gave the galaxy a decent form of terrain that made things significantly less chaotic while also giving the player meaningful ways to improve their mobility throughout the game. Warp and wormhole were objectively better than hyperlanes and it was hard to balance it because the relative freedom that the other two had just meant you can trivially hit and run hyperlane empires. Wars between the other two was tedious micro to chase fleets or defend systems.
Hyperlane vs hyperlane is manageable because you can more reliably predict enemy movements and give systems strategic value based on their hyperlane connections. It's easy to look at the map and know what the frick is happening. Wars have visually clear fronts, border gore was reduced by a significant amount, and you can strategically position fleets and/or fortify chokepoints. It made the game feel more strategic and less about smashing your doomstack against their's until your's wins and gets to r*pe their systems unabated.
Stellaris is a miserable game nobody enjoys, I have no idea why you're recommending it, I guess maybe as a troll. Haha this fricking idiot wasted 100 hours on trash, lmao, welcome to rdrama.
Yeah it's kind of a bizzare game. Every now and then I give it a whirl again, see what's new(usually something that only affects you at the very start), then I realize that actually playing an extended game of it is just a slog without a payoff. Oh boy... all the aliens around me are r-slurred and have nothing to offer me as either a trading partner or in terms of land to colonize... what a chore.
It's an excellent, highly acclaimed game enjoyed by anybody with taste. Especially so if a c*m-crusted philistine such as yourself is sperging over it.
You just know when the ayylmao menace is revealed shit libs are going to immediately form a 5th column offering endless apologia for the probing invaders, and it will make dating really hard after even you need to explain why you served in an Alium-Defender-Deletion death squad
I wouldn't mind being friendly with the ayy lmaos, but it'd have to be as equals, or with humanity having the upper hand. Anyone who sides with them is an idiot and traitor.

Stellaris is gay. They fricked it when they removed starting with unique FTL options, and it has way less depth than EU
