It's a consulting company focused on including progressive values in games, and are associated with working on some recent divisive (culture war wise) titles.
They are currently on blast since more and more stupid stuff they said surfaces, and their employees are r-slurred enough not to know of Streisand effect.
My take on this is that it's mostly driven by g*mers finally having a target for their outrage about "wokness". In reality that problem is deeply rooted in the industry and one consulting company (even as prominent as this one) is just a drop in the bucket.
