Hardest difficulty remove the lvl 50 max cap and replace it with 100 (110 with first dlc 120 with 2nd dlc) but thing is lvls are just visual shit similar how in Dante inferno when you expend your hp it's changes the hp indicator making it bigger but you still die from same amount of hits as before. What hardest difficulty does is makes enemy hit a bit harder and having a ton more hp and since the game has only one true weapon and fights concept doesn't change its always the same fights, mobs you hit them until they die, sub bosses you hit them until you stagger them then unleash a same patter of your ult's for max damage and they die then you have bosses and the fight is like doing 2 times the shit you are doing against sub bosses. That's the whole gameplay.
People shit at ff15 but that game had a lot of different weapons and it wasn't as fight focused as ff16. Ff16 is like ff14 dungeons, you start a mission kill some mobs then a sub boss then more mobs then a boss and mission is done. If it had a good gameplay or good side activities you could had found an excuse but there are non and the hardest difficulty just shows how flawed the game is.
I finished ff7 remake on hardest difficulty and it was much better than ff16 tho I also didn't liked it since it lost all elements of rpg and became just action game with memorising enemy patterns and dodge windows
It's just makes me wonder they spend 8 years designing that game and they came out with such shity gameplay design, how is this possible
The game probably would legit been much better if they just made it turn base especially since you are almost never alone
