That looks janky as heck lol. But nice to see wildlife existing after so many years. If they ever get the ai to be able to move smoothly that would be really nice needed improvement.
Oh it is janky as heck. It's only the first implementation of wildlife. Once everything performs as it should it's gonna be crazy!

I have heard of the star citizen meme saga but never have I once seen gameplay footage and holy shit that looks like a boring and janky game from 2009.

I might make an effort post. The game is playable and fun and not quite a scam but also not anywhere near what it was supposed to be. It's also made me thousands of dollars so that might be tainting my view.
It's just barely not a scam so that they can't be hit with legal action but it's absolutely not at all what was promised
I vividly remember spergs modding their nostromo game pads before it even came out so that they would be able to better control the gimbaled turrets and engines on the space fighters Christ Roberts was totally for real going to make
Forget "what was promised." It's the most expensive game in history and anyone who watches 2 seconds of random video can see it's total and complete shit
If a game has been in production for 13 years and hasn't been released while somehow acquiring 600+ mil in funds, it's closer to a scam than not.
It will probably come to a point where dev time just goes on too long, or the funds dry up, so they release a broken, unfinished piece of shit as "1.0" as a means to not get sued or be liable for fraud.
RSI relies on the near cult fanatics to supply funds to the game while suckering them in with things like high definition grass, and r-slur gimmicks. This whole thing parallels with the Church of Scientology.
They were using cryengine at the start. Now they're on Lumberyard, an Amazon game engine that appeared after they bought cryengine from crytech. So yeah, it's still cryengine.
Lumberyard is cryengine rebranded, so they moved from cryengine to cryengine. I think they've ended up on their own seperate fork of the engine now. I think they also got included in some kind of legal dispute when Amazon acquired the engine, but I can't remember.
Gotta say…Star Citizen is one of the most strangest things on the planet.
On one hand…it's arguably the most single-handedly mismanaged video game project - or any sort or project, for that matter - in history, and probably a crowning example on everything wrong/not-to-do with crowdfunding.
But on the other…I do admire the grift. Stealing millions from poor suckers with the promise of the bestest most specialest vidya of all time…I can only dream of reaching such a level of swindling.
Anyhow…cat is big ugly, and I want to hear from some !g*mers and !poll_voters

Did you know that by some oversight of God that all of the purchases made in SC are considered donations and thus tax-free?
Somehow it gets turbo dorks to shell out thousands of dollars to the point their wives divorce them because they're trying to save the family from going broke.
And it doesn't even have a persistent galaxy like Elite Dangerous has and thats a dead game lmao

I'm sure Star Citizen blows it out of the water in scope but from what I remember the Barkley 2 game (as in the sequel to the memegame Barkley Shut Up and Jam Gaiden) was a solid runner up

It's actually hilarious how little progress they've made in 13 years, yet the seal clapping r-slurs are still infatuated with it.

Idk if they are but they were using CryEngine for a gigantic space MMO and it was not ideal to put it lightly
