No because it was considered a bait and switch to implement sony PSnetwork requirements months into a live service release
The outrage behind it was manufactured and magnified by redditors and good for them they reversed the decision but some cute twink is still nerfing every weapon which is way worse for the game than a 3 minute 1 time sign-in "fiasco" ever would be.
