PC gaming seems substantially more normalized/normiefied than it was a decade ago and it's finally sorta possible to purchase a GPU for less than double the MSRP again, but I doubt it's the main factor. Probably just console saturation (everyone that wants a current gen console already has one by now) and mobileshit (which should not count as gaming).

Pretry sure nobody games just watches influencers play games. Getting good still requires some effort.
Its the same with tv and movies. None of the old ones went away, you can still watch them so older folks just watch the same tv shows over and over ehile milllenials are settling with the same games over and over.

Consoles were never the driver of the video game industry and anyone who thinks they are/were is a midwit r-slur. They are sold at cost or at loss, because the dvds are sold up especially now with digital. That's not to say tiktok isn't eating them alive but it's not something you'd see from hardware dollar sales.
