Why do I even bother coming to this site

The first Dragon Age was both mechanically and stylistically VERY FAR AWAY from Bioware's previous games and at the time was exactly as panned as whatever this is right now

People who played and loved BG2 were mad as frick at Bioware for turning the turn-based crpgs into some sort of first-person action element amalgamation of a crpg which were popular at the time of release

altough I still believe dragon age origins is overhated (still overrated tho)

They are doing the same thing here

jfl you people would call half life 2 woke for having

in a vacuum id agree with you, but the failure of stuff like Redfall, the suicide squad, and other trend chaser corporate meddled games,

the Hero shooter vibe brings the fear that the game would depart from the gritty dark fantasy from DA1 -DA3.

You can argue about the styles, but the actual plot points and events in DA1-DA3 are nothing short of Warhammer 40k grimdark. Origins can be borderline a horror game,, even if it's not scary like Outlast. Millions of people perish in apocalyptic horror events - the DA games, including Inquisition i believe are solidly grim andd dark fantasy, and i like that.

The fear that zoomzooms fortnite audiences were targeted by corpo meddling, I think are what all the sneeding about the trailer is about by peeps who cant verbalize their concerns properly.

I agree we gaymers can be full of shit, but also that the uncertain feeling we get from this trailer is not unwarrented, even if chuds b-word about immaterial ccrap like gay black elves

Loved the first game, thought the 2nd was okay and Inquisition wasn't bad. Its definitely the dark-ish fantasy element that drew me in. the further lore drops about the black city and such in DA2/DA3 were pretty good.

They set up a pretty decent butt story and world.
