Playing nu-minecraft is an L anyway. Microsoft Mojang obv has no idea how to actually make a sandbox game like the original minecraft so they just keep adding in new adventure content which you can only interact with in a few select ways. Its a miracle I was actually able to migrate my old mojang account to an MS one. Its also a miracle they still have active linux ports plus a tarball option

Well technically he didn't bought this game from Microsoft so on og contract of this game there was nothing written about Microsoft so it makes no sense for him losing access to that game because Microsoft bought the game studio and decided to not respect original agreement of that game.

The reason they did this in the first place is because there were massive databases of compromised minecraft accounts. You could go to some free websites, click a button, watch an ad, and instantly be given a new minecraft account to log in with. Anyway this guy is at the login screen and already malding about his freedoms. Dids't thou but know. It's probably best he doesn't see what else has happened.

1. Migrating was actually a pain in the butt if you only had a simple Microsoft account and not whatever xbox thing or something. It was buggy af, required you to login with different credentials to several places, not documented at all. Like, something you could spend 20 frustrating minutes on, not 20 seconds clicking the "ok migrate me" button and entering your new account name.
2. However old school Minecraft doesn't have single player DRM, no? It's only need for multiplayer and maybe for updates IIRC. So to all the people who are, like, boo, I want to physically own a copy of the game on my computer, not rent it from the developer subject to its whims: you have your wish, you can play your copy in perpetuity, but if you lose it that's your problem, you can't expect the developer to give you a replacement (unless you put in the minimal effort to maintain your account on their site).
