yea they sign contracts to voice act in the game as killable targets, usually playing a parody of themselves. Gary Busey played himself outright, in the only mission you cant play anymore because of his contract + the controversy (funny enough HMF was mad Busey wasnt coming back) but Sean Bean played Mark Faba an MI5 agent called "The Undying" who fakes his death multiple times, Dimitri Vegas played some DJ turned drug kingpin called Alexius and McGregor here plays an MMA boxer who's fighting their parody of Mark Zucc who insists on being called "The Disruptor" rather than by his real name so it could be Conor playing himself but usually they voice act and provide the character model but arent outright playing themselves
