I actually like apex. I also don't really think Respawn got culture shifted (read: infested by foids) too much. I was shocked to learn that Apex was actually a passion project that they were working on concurrently with TF3.

it's better than the other BRs, at least. Something that one of the Apex devs said (to paraphrase) is that the boringness is really a feature. Titanfall is super high intensity all the time, BRs have a different balance of intensity - which makes it easier to play for more than one or two matches. I honestly can't disagree, though I'm currently playing zero shooters so IDK if I have any right to an opinion here.

Fallout 3, New Vegas and Skyrim have a level of jank that is charming and endearing.
Fallout 76 and Starjank have too much jank that it is not charming nor endearing but in fact rage-enducing and spergful.
Fallout 4 is in between those which is why it is controversial.
