Star Citizen demo crashes LIVE on stage during presentation

Context

There's currently some sort of Star Citizen Con (yes, really) going on and they promised that the game will release in 2026. This time for sure!!! Sadly it crashed during the demo on stage - twice. There's a viral article about the game called 12 Years and $700 Million Later, What's Going on With Star Citizen's Development? with reddit reactions in this thread. Lots of coping and seething in all related subreddits brewing. The grift that keeps on giving!

Ngl this SQ42 demo is the best thing I've seen in a citcon in a long while. Thoughts?

SQ42 confirmed at CITCON for a 2026 release!

Squadron42 in 2026!

tl;dr Fact: 90% of Star Citizen players stop donating before Star Citizen fully releases in a playable state with all its promised features.

crashes live

No big deal. Better show gameplay than pre rendered gameplay or those cringe Xbox showcases with 8 people pretending too play a lan game (remember those?)

Game is probably early in development (when they have all the core mechanics) but had 0 days of QA and polish.

Bethesda games crash 100x in 3 hrs don't see people not buying them but what do @EverSeether know black lives matter

You're right it's still in early development (10 years)

gta 6 has been in dev for 10 years and it's not pushing the envelope for anything in realtime distributed tech.

yeah drive to point a, shoot something, drive to point b, shoot some more things. if the writing doesn't suck it'll be good, and that can be a pretty big if.

but it currently takes 10 years to put out big games that don't push the envelope when it comes to technical features/simulation,

and there's plenty of that for soyslop lovers to lapup, so keep laughing i guess. :marseyshrug:

Star citizen wont push any envelopes either tho cause it will never release in any meaningful state

lol, the playable alpha already pushed the envelope, and has been bleeding edge for some time.

no other mmo comes anywhere close to the physical simulation fidelity.

i get that u don't see that, but ur a blithering idiot who has no idea what ur talking about on a technical level, and we both know that.
