Granted I certainly haven't played everything noteworthy, but Prince of Persia is the best game I've played that released this year. Killer game that does everything well. That sucks.
There will still be plenty of indie games in that style, but very few with that level of polish and detail.

Didn't it use the shitty Uplay launcher? That's why I avoided it, it doesn't work well on Linux.

It does, but it works offline so in a way it doesn't. Just has to be registered with the launcher once or something like that. To settle an argument I disabled my internet connection and tried it, still worked.

It's not the fact it's DRM that's an issue. It's the fact the Uplay launcher doesn't even work, so a Linux user can't get past the first time registration.
They really need to retire that PoS.
