Darn, literally hundreds of millions of dollars down the drain, never to be seen again.

Some streamer who takes himself seriously said it so you know that figure is accurate.

I don't believe it either, but it's pretty funny even if it's only like 90 million or w/e

I believe the number is length of time multiplied by average studio salaries multiple by size of studio. No matter what, everyone is estimating between $300-400 M.

This was Sony's big interactive entertainment thing. This was supposed to be profitable.

I guess IGN and Kotaku are "some websites which take themselves seriously"? It's confirmed development alone overshot 200 million.

I believe it.

Devs claimed that the game was 8+ years in development since earliest stages, Sony paid a ton for acquisition alone, they also spend ton of marketing, CG movies, had an entire episode for that upcoming game show dedicated to Concord (while other IPs like God of War and others all share a single episode), they claimed the game will have weekly story short movies, already made multiple trailers, both CG and 2D animated etc. They spend money on making limited editions controllers and hardware about the game and so on.

The more you dig, the more insane it gets just HOW MUCH they spent on this game while literally no one heard of it or played it before they learned it was a failure.
