With Factorios new DLC, you can create automatic factory space platforms, it comes quite early on in the progression. space is unlimited when building one if you have the resources. you can travel to a few different planets, with the later ones requiring more firepower to shoot your way through asteroids.
>The game kind of forces you to use rockets though which sucks. My small platform (200 tons) comfortably traveled between the early planets at 150 speed and now I have to rework it only because devs are trolling me. And my guess is the solution is to be braindead (like everything else in the expansion) and to just build big.
(the dlc about expanding to other planets adds content focusing on building big???? what the frick WUBE) (also i think the speed limit is like 160-170, even at ~350 ton)
>Why reward players for efficiency and small size when you can let them solve all problems by throwing more resources at the problem?
>700 tons weight is a joke.
>edit: I love how this comment started with 3 upmarseys now it is downmarseyd. I am not the only one. Git gud.
In what way did the devs troll you?
>How do I learn about those chunky asteroids that have resistance to everything but one thing?
read the in-game wiki
>The ingame info is amazing and I read it but it lacks ton of information and I didn't notice anything about chunky asteroids. Just admit that the game mechanic is basically trolling and to annoy players and to artificially slow them down to build one of the 1000 ton platforms that you are screenshotting here because other than that the game would be braindead easy.
ina different thread:
>Another boring 1000 ton ship with tons of wasted space.
Yup! This game is awesome. No wonder so many people are posting their creations.
>I think you are missing rocket turrets. This will not get you to Aquilo because there are troll chunky meteors immune to everything but rockets.
>Blue science is difficult because oil is never explained anywhere so I would understand that. Not being able to do black science is just trolling.
Explains everything tbh
/u/Brilliant-Elk2404 im going to build a 1000 ton freighter and name it after you <3

I've had my yellow science built for a couple hours but haven't hooked up the lanes yet. I need to set up blue circuits but that means I'm gonna need more green and red. I gotta figure out s

haha good luck with em, im too scared to expand them without LTN being updated, though if you are r-slurred with circuits i recommend it if/when it gets updated tho

LTN isn't necessary any more, you can do it vanilla with the new circuit options

I still gotta figure out interrupts to make the trains entirely generic. Rn I've got them sharing inputs with unique outputs. But I know if I autismmax just a little bit harder I can move beyond manually assigning ins and outs....

The secret is that you use interrupts to set destination train stop names via the circuit condition wild card symbol, and use the random setting on the selector combinator to cycle through a preset number of item icons (make sure you use a consistent naming scheme for your train stops).
