The amount of times a character is like "ooh a shiny object, I bet of you shine it over there we can get through" as if we haven't already done that multiple times and know now. Also THOSE ARE VERBATIM WORDS.

The way I've decided to think about this writing is that it's writing written for people who have never read for fun. You can't tell me any of these writers ever read any good fantasy books. It's writing for people raised on superhero movies, TikTok videos and twitter.

No one puts themselves into the shoes of another. It's all the writers' highly uninteresting shoes and feet and their perspectives. Martin wrote that a reader lives a thousand lives. I'm not convinced that the single one these people are clinging to is even worth the effort to be put on paper

I give it another week at most before the media illusion about this game's "positivity" and "success" is shattered.

Right but that's all they do. All. Because they're not trained to be creative writers first. If they even have the ability to be that. They're there to deliver a message to you that, apparently, no one but them and half the goddarn internet, could possibly provide.

They're there on a self imposed mission to get illusory points for delivering it. I'm all onboard for the darn message largely but I'd very much prefer if actual writers would go along with doing their jobs of expanding our perspectives instead of limiting them. You have this awesome gift of making entire new realities and have them resonate inside millions of minds and all you idiots can come up with is the same shit we see everywhere? You're fired or should be. Get me some real writers.

The game is pretty much going out of its way to not upset anyone, which quite naturally helps flatline the overall vibe because you NEED polarizing characters with very strong personalities to add variety to the ensemble

Don't you know it's unacceptable these days to put yourself in anyone else's shoes? Imagining yourself to be someone else is very close to appropriation, if not actual colonisation. Everyone must confine themselves to speaking from their own lived experience.
