If things do go south people will just assume the worst. Then you'll feel pressured to post your position to prove them wrong.

Yeah the market and I aren't on speaking terms, that's why I keep it all in HYSA and my normal retirement accounts.

I know it doesn't really keep up with inflation but I get paid enough and my expenses are minimal, so the balance growth outpaces inflation anyway
