You support freedom of speech in general or whatever but you'll most likely draw a line at some point.
"Free speech", is something that nobody cares about until they think that they're opinions might otherwise be silenced by the majority.
Rightoids didn't care about people's free speech during the redscare in the 50's. Leftoids don't care about free speech in current-year cancel culture.
When the pendulum swings back and the openly trans start getting barred from jobs at schools because of grooming accusations, dramacels won't care about free speech either.
"Free speech", is not and has never been a widely accepted principle. It has only ever existed in the mainstream as the argument of last resort for the losing side.
