I haven't followed the lore lately but apparently summoners aren't even canon anymore so I'm not sure how sona's voiceover makes sense, and every character is an even edgier dark and mysterious past type, so I can't get interested in whatever loredump show they're making.

Well they haven't been afraid to kill off major characters in some brutal ways that I wouldn't necessarily term "YA".

They're trying to do the whole second age (after Simmerilion cause IP) starting at the death of the light tree thingy without linking to the Simmerils.
As a big fan of the Simmerials (sp?) I was very critical of what Amazon could do with footnotes.
