Our cloth masks made out of old bandanas wouldn’t have done anything, anyway. But the thing is: We didn’t know.

Anyone with an iota of common sense knew. The amount of seethe I got from liberal white women for pointing this out was insane. COVID was exceedingly non-lethal, the mandated lockdowns were about intentionally tanking the economy to get Trump out of office more than addressing any actual public health concerns.

i remember seeing articles and guides on “proper mask storage” people were sharing a while back. like guides telling you very specific ways to take off a mask without touching your face/chin. i’d just shove it in my pocket and change it out if it got dirty or gross. for most people, past a certain point masking just became something we did to avoid being hassled. can’t believe there are still people today acting like they’re living through the plague
