The problem with every “reddit alternative” is that they’re all shitholes filled to the brim with the absolute dregs of the internet. I remember visiting the (original) voat years ago when it was still around and the userbase made /pol/ look progressive. Some of the most vitriolic shit I’ve ever read online came from comments on front page voat posts. I don’t know who would want to spend time there because it was just as unfun as reddit but for a set of completely different reasons.
