Marketing depts probably just completely r-slurred. Hire all women to offset IT actually making game, and they lack even cultural memory of "wait, you can run people over? And kill cops and prostitutes?" that sold GTA: Vice City in the tens of millions. They can't even GTA clone, competently. Sad!

All of these wokified games do terrible numbers, vidya seems to be the opposite of movies. Battlefield 4, watchdogs 2, the new uncharted games, they all sell like shit.

I noticed movie execs are far more conservative than game execs. For all the bitching KIA and the likes do about Disney, you'll notice when it comes down to it, they don't actually go all woke. It's mostly lip service. It's particularly noticeable when it comes to the alphabet crowd. They know they way to money. I think the most risk they've taken with their major IPs is with the little mermaid and I assume they expect black people to hype it to success like black panther which black twitter absolutely will do or die trying while the gingers cry some more.

Movie companies are dominated by Reaganaut Republicans, so you get situations where the Marvel chairman donated huge amounts of money to the GOP meaning every single Redditor indirectly supported Trump's campaigns. This caused a lot of seething a while back.

But in the end they're not super ideological so long as the money keeps rolling in.

On the other hand, vidya developers and many tech companies are dominated mostly by Millennial scum, which is why they're more likely to pull this shit.

You’ve got it backwards. Watch Dogs 2 sold over ten million copies. Uncharted 4 sold like a billion copies, it’s literally outsold every PS4 game but GTA V. Other big w0kie games like Overwatch and The Last of Us 2 sold like hotcakes. BFV’s the only real high-profile wokie failure.

Whereas there’s literally a ceiling on how progressive you can make a movie before Chief Chink gets mad and bans it in China.
